Quick Tweepi Tip: Unfollowing the Unfollowers

When using Tweepi to unfollow those who did not follow you back, you can choose amongst multiple presets such as Klout Score, Number of Tweets, Number of Followers and/or Time of Last Tweet.

However, since you can’t wait forever until a tweep decides to follow you back, you can always depend on the “Date Followed” to make a decision about unfollowing tweeps.

Personally, I give tweeps up to 2 days to follow me back, a longer time period would mean:

  1. They are not interested in following me back.
  2. They do not know (and might never know) that I am following them.
  3. They are inactive.

Unfollowing people who don’t follow you back is the best way to crack the 2,000 follower limit for most people. In my opinion Tweepi is the best free way to unfollow.

I don’t see the “date followed” category anywhere….I’m very interested in this feature.

Okay, at least two people did, but no answer. So that’s no more help than the mystery “Date Followed” column.

The “date followed” column is a part of Tweepi Premium. It’s almost ready to launch.

    Tweeps,

Unfollowing people for the simple fact that they don’t follow you back is ridiculous, weak, lame, pointless, idiotic, missing the point, or any other such descriptors.  Why are you following someone who doesn’t interest you enough to keep your follow?  Why are you acting like a petulant-popularity-seeking-8 year old?  Have you engaged with this person?  Have you mentioned them?  Retweeted them?  If they refuse to engage with you then maybe…but even then…you should only be following people that interest you.  The fact that they don’t follow back is an indication of your lack of being intriguing…perhaps instead of following 2000 peopel (which btw is fucking ridiculous!) you might want to consider upping your ante.  Be interesting.  Engage.  And the rest will follow.  Stop pandering for followers.

I have a premium account and the date followed field is empty–for everyone. How can I enable this?

How about the Twitter Rule that we’re not supposed to “Un-Follow” too many people per day?
