10 Ways To Get Yourself Fired Through Twitter

For me, it’s just common sense to separate my personal from my business life so it’s a no-brainer that I wouldn’t say anything that might cause me trouble at my work. Even though courts have already ruled that companies should not restrict their employees from talking about work on social media, it still is not worth risking it.

There are plenty of legal ways short of firing you to make your work life a living hell, however, for the following tweeps, they deserved to be fired, period.

Fake Over-time and Brag About It

It’s stupid enough to fake over-time, it’s a completely different level of stupid when you implicate yourself:

Keep on Accessing Banned Sites

Insanity is doing the same thing over and over, expecting different results

Announce That You Are Suing Your Boss

If you really have a case you wouldn’t want him to destroy evidence, and if you don’t have a case then you just lost your job.

Tell Everybody About How You Feel About Them

This won’t get your fired, probably, but it will make your work environment very difficult.

Steal From Your Job

If they didn’t notice, then they probably don’t care that much about. Well now they will notice!

Snitch On The Person Who Covered-up Your Crimes

The guy was misguided enough to let you stay even after catching you red handed, putting it that way you both deserve it.

Sleep With The Boss

It won’t get you fired, but you will earn a lot of colorful nicknames at work.

Be The Sheep That Cried Emergency

Most people have faked a sick leave at one point or another, but actually killing your Grandmother twice is something no one will forgive you for.

Lie On Your Application

It seems like it’s never too early to get fired…

Attest to Your Incompetence At Your Job

Not only have you lost a job in this case but you have ruined your chances of any future employment.
