Tweepi’s New “Force User to Unfollow You” Feature

Our latest Tweepi Premium feature is the “Force to Unfollow you” feature.

In a nutshell, you have Twitter friends (people you follow) and followers (people following you). The “Unfollow” feature unfollows users you are currently following. The “Force Unfollow” feature forces a user who is currently following you to unfollow you.

Why do I need it?

This feature was requested on several occasions by users who have undesirable people following them with bad profile images or just all with the default “egg” photos, and they wish to force these users to unfollow them to maintain their brand’s image at a certain standard.

How do I access the “Force Unfollow” tools?

Tweepi Premium Silver and Platinum users can access these tools from their dashboards.

You can simply see a list of all the users following you:

Force Unfollow: Show a list of all followers

Force Unfollow: Show a list of all followers

or use the more specific tools under the “Force Unfollow Tools” section:

What exactly is the difference between a “force unfollow” and a block?

    • http://twitter.com/livecut Tim Wood

One way to do it. Block user -> force unfollow -> unblock -> status quo ante.

I still don’t get it. Is “force unfollow” and “block” the same thing?

        • http://www.ivoryjohn.com/ John Wylie

No. Block keeps them blocked. Force unfollow blocks them and unblocks them right away…forcing them to unfollow. A block does = an unfollow but the unblock gives them the choice to follow back if they become active again in a few days, and really wanna follow you still.

I’ve never heard of a forced unfollow.

It is really new. And really awesome. I used it a while back. Works like a charm.

    I wonder how this works?

    • http://www.ivoryjohn.com/ John Wylie

It blocks the user (forcing an unfollow) then instantly unblocks them.
Making it possible for them to follow you again, if they return to
Twitter. This tool is mainly for folks to get rid of old/dormant
      accounts, mind you.

It would be nice to know, or see a screen capture, of how you can “force” someone to unfollow you. Can you please let us know how this is done?

Just block someone and they will be made to unfollow you. Totally free and without any additonal programs.

Right but for people with thousands of people following them….not the best way to spend your time.

I want to be able to decide whom I flush or not from the automatically selected… but I don’t know if they will be all flushed at once or if I’ll have the option to unselect “flushables”

Please inform us if we DO have the choice of who is flushed, or please add the option to be able to do so.

I am premium silver, but won’t continue if I can’t control what happens to the selections.

You still can select who you flush or not, just like you pick who you follow. You can Shift+Click to select users in a long list quickly.
