New Follow by Bio Search tool

A new improvement of the Twitter API adds the user search feature. Tweepi Premium Platinum users can now search for public Twitter users by bio, topic of interest, full name, company name, location, or other similar criteria.

“Load stats” button and columns deactivated

With the new rate limiting introduced with Twitter’s API 1.1, we can no longer offer the stats feature. This feature and the stats columns have been deactivated. The button is now “Load Klout” to load Klout scores for the visible users.

More tweets loaded per tweet search page

The Follow by tweet search tool now loads 75 tweets per page instead of just 50. That should help our users select new users to follow faster.

In a nutshell, you have Twitter friends (people you follow) and followers (people following you). The “Unfollow” feature unfollows users you are currently following. The “Force Unfollow” feature forces a user who is currently following you to unfollow you.

Why do I need it?

This feature was requested on several occasions by users who have undesirable people following them with bad profile images or just all with the default “egg” photos, and they wish to force these users to unfollow them to maintain their brand’s image at a certain standard.

How do I access the “Force Unfollow” tools?

Tweepi Premium Silver and Platinum users can access these tools from their dashboards.

What is it?

When you select users and click follow/unfollow, you will see that the status next to those users will change to “Queued for un/following”. This indicates that our servers will process it regardless on which page you are, within a minute or two. This feature was added so that you can select a large number of users for following, from each page, navigate back and forth to different pages without waiting at all. All following/unfollowing will be done in the background.

How do I know the status of those actions?

You will get a blue bubble at the bottom-right corner of your browser once each action goes through. The “Last action” in yellow will also be updated.

Try it out. It’s available for both Tweepi Free (for the moment) and Tweepi Premium accounts.
