What is the "Safelist"? How do I use it?
Since Tweepi was designed to facilitate all your follow and unfollow actions, it is essential that we make it easier for you to do so which is why we have the "Safelist" feature.
The purpose of the safe list is to safe guard Twitter users from following or unfollowing again. Therefore, if you are following certain friends, family members, or co-workers on Twitter, and you want to make sure you do not want to unfollow them by mistake, you add them to the safe list and they will be safe from any action you carry out on Twitter.
You can also use the safe list feature to make sure you don't follow specific people accidentally. This is very useful when you are trying to filter out spammers and/or people whom you don't wish to follow at all, for whatever reasons you may have.
In order to safe list a user, all you need to do is click on the "lock" image next to the user's name. In order to undo this, just click the lock again.
To view the list of users you are currently safelisting, click the "Safelist" link from the navigation bar.
What does "Queued for following" mean?
"Queued for following" indicates that our servers will process your request regardless on which page you are. This feature was added so that you can select a large number of users for following, from each page, navigate back and forth to different pages without waiting. All following/unfollowing will be done in the background, usually within less than a minute. You will get a blue bubble at the bottom-right corner once each action goes through. This feature was added to minimize the time you need to do all follow/unfollow tasks through Tweepi. It's designed to be a great time saver.
For more information, please check out our blog post introducing the "Queued Following" feature.
Tweepi Premium Features and Help
What is the difference between Tweepi and Tweepi Premium?
Tweepi Premium is the paid version of Tweepi. We have 2 plans: Silver and Platinum which have more options for following users such as lists and geographical location, no ads and other premium features.
What are the premium tools?
We have several premium tools that help you get things done faster. You can try these features from your Tweepi Dashboard.
Is Tweepi able to manage more than one Twitter Account with a single Premium subscription?
Each Tweepi Premium account is linked to a single Twitter account. That's because the features offered by Tweepi Premium are very resource intensive on our end, even if the user is not logged in.
We are working on an agency/multiple account subscription level. We should be introducing it soon.
How can I keep track of whom I have followed/unfollowed already?
Yes, only if you are using Tweepi Premium Platinum. Click options then "Show follow/unfollow history" so you can see whom you followed/unfollowed and when.
Note: This feature only shows follows and unfollows done through Tweepi, not other sites or tools.
What's the difference between "Unfollow" and "Force Unfollow"?
You have Twitter friends (people you follow) and followers (people following you). The "Unfollow" feature unfollows users you are currently following. The "Force Unfollow" feature forces a user who is currently following you to unfollow you.
For more information, please check out our blog post introducing the "Force Unfollow" feature.
What are eggs and why should I unfollow them?
Eggs are Twitter users who did not yet change their avatar into a personalized picture or image. Read more about why your Twitter avatar is very important.
You don't have to unfollow eggs, however it is more favorable if you do so since that helps you keep your Twitter stream organized and clean and allows you to follow more real and active tweeps. Plus, when other users view your friends, it always looks more professional if your list of friends are active users.
How do I find out all users that I am following and do not have a bio description?
Tweepi Premium Silver and Platinum can do that by just selecting the "Cleanup Bio-less" tool on your dashboard.
Follow by Tweet Search: How do I follow targeted users, say users interested in "photography"?
As a Premium Platinum user you will be able to follow people based on a search keyword, hashtag and/or a location through the "Follow by tweet search" tool. So for instance if you are interested in "photography" you can just search for the hashtag "#photography".
Follow by Tweet Search: How do I access more advanced search features and restrict by geolocation?
Once you are at the "Follow by Tweet Search" page, click the "Advanced / Geo" button.
You can then modify your search criteria and restrict by geolocation of the tweets sent. Note that you may find users with account's locations not as specified, this means that the relevant tweet sent by that user has been sent from the approximate location you specified. Maybe the user was traveling.
What is a Twitter List and how do I use it?
Lists are one of the great features on Twitter that allows people to organize others into groups or lists. To learn more about lists visit Twitter's help center.
Tweepi Frequently Asked Questions
What is a good strategy to get more followers using Tweepi?
A good strategy is to follow targeted users using Tweepi's follow tools, preferably try not to hit the 1000 follows a day limit. 500-700 is a good number. Try to keep an eye out for the "follow ratio" to be around 100% and the "last tweet" not more than a week or two ago. After a few days, you can unfollow those who haven't followed you back and repeat.
The hard part is that you need to engage your followers, and post interesting tweets, posts, photos... etc, related to your niche.
Does Tweepi automatically unfollow all users once I click "Flush" or "Cleanup"?
No, Tweepi will never follow or unfollow any users unless you explicitly select and click "Follow" or "Unfollow".
Do I need to reciprocate all follows?
No, you can choose whom to follow back through clicking on the box next to the user's name depending on your preferences (such as their follower/following ratio, activity, Klout score… etc).
Why do I need to unfollow the inactive tweeps?
Well, there is the Twitter 2000 limit; which is if you follow more than 2,000 people, you'll be limited to 10% more than the number of people that follow you. For example, if 2000 people follow you, you can follow a max of 2,200 people, if 10,000 people follow you, you can follow up to 11,000 people, and so on. See Twitter's Limits page for more information.
Note: From recent observations, this number is not always 10%. We've seen users with 10,000 followers and 20,000 following, but they do get limited at a certain point.
How do I choose whose friends/followers to follow?
This mostly depends on the purposes for which you use Twitter, your interests and the value you seek from your tweeting experience.
Usually, it is easier to choose the friends/followers of active tweeps who are active and tweet regularly.
What are Klout scores?
Klout scores are a measurement of the influence of the account owner across various social media networks including Facebook, Twitter, and others. For more information make sure to check out the Klout.com website.
Does Tweepi work on all browsers?
Yes, Tweepi works on Safari, Internet Explorer, Firefox and Google Chrome. However, Tweepi is not recommended on Internet Explorer 7 or older, nor on Firefox 2.
Is Tweepi compatible with iPhone and Android?
At the moment, Tweepi is not very compatible with iPhone or Android. You can get it to work, but it won't be a very pleasant experience. However, we are currently working on developing mobile compatible versions.
How do I deactivate my Tweepi account?
